Mitsubishi Materials Corporation
Under its Medium-term Management Strategy (FYE March 2027-2029), Mitsubishi Materials Corporation ("MMC") has adopted the basic policy of "creating the future through resource circulation," and is accelerating the global expansion of its resource circulation operations across Europe, the U.S., and Asia, while advancing the transition to secondary smelting using E-Scrap and Copper-Scrap as raw materials.
Against this backdrop, with the anticipated continued increase in the generation of secondary raw materials and the need to enhance the processing capacity of the U.S. recycling infrastructure, MMC will launch a new Resource Circulation Division in April 2026 within Mitsubishi Materials U.S.A. Corporation, which currently handles sales of cemented carbide tools and related products, as an organization to strategically promote the MMC Group's resource circulation business in the United States.
As part of the global expansion of MMC's resource circulation business, the new division will operate from a newly established office in Chicago, Illinois, and will lead initiatives to develop secondary smelting for critical minerals in the U.S. and to build robust supply chains. In addition, the division will explore and promote strategic partnerships and M&A opportunities with other companies in the resource circulation market across North America.
By adding the resource circulation business to its existing operations, Mitsubishi Materials U.S.A. Corporation will serve as a regional strategic hub, driving transformation and innovation to deliver greater value to customers.
MMC Group will continue to steadily implement the various initiatives outlined in its Medium-term Management Strategy (FYE March 2027-2029) and fulfill Our Commitment: "For people, society and the earth, circulating resources for a sustainable future."
